Search for books on your topic using our PAC (Public Access Catalog)

Contact the media specialist for the user name and password to access these resources.

SIRS Discoverer offers a database of easily retrievable full-text articles, often with accompanying graphics, with full printing and saving capabilities. The full-text articles database consists of articles reprinted with permission, from approximately 1,600 newspapers, magazines and U.S. government documents.

World Book Online Reference Center is an excellent source of reliable, easy to understand information for students.  World Book Online offers all the features of the print encyclopedia plus links to maps, web sites, and other print articles.

Bibliography
NoodleTools will generate, edit, and publish an MLA Works Cited list or APA References list that complies with the rules of the current MLA Handbook and APA Publication Manual. NoodleBib takes care of punctuation, alphabetization and formatting, producing a polished source list for import into Word.

Interesting and easy-to-use articles about each U.S. state, territory, and region.
Primary Search
Contains the full text of more than 50 elementary school magazines and pamphlets covering topics of interest to elementary school students.

Internet Resources

Colonial Trades
Learn about various colonial trades such apothecary, blacksmith, and milliner at this Colonial Williamsburg site.  The site includes photos of colonial reenactors in the costume of the time, and tools used for the trade.  Audio clips include interviews with the tradesmen.

Colonial Family and Community
Be a history detective. Go back in time and investigate the daily lives of the Daggetts, a colonial family from northeastern Connecticut.
