Visit these sites...
Classroom Policies
1. Each student is expected to have a notebook or binder, or spiral labeled for Science, folder, pencils, and pens. These items are to be brought to class everyday.
2. Each student will keep a running record of his or her grades and this will be attached in their science folder. Grade sheets will be updated every week or every other week. Online grades will be updated every two weeks.
3. Notes are given in a PowerPoint presentation format. Students will have an opportunity (once a quarter) to be the clicker. As clicker they receive a copy of the notes and just need to add diagrams as we discuss topics.
4. If your child is absent they will receive a copy of the days notes. It is your child's responsibility to obtain any classwork they will miss due to absences or band/chorus. They will be given extra time to complete the assignments.
5. Each student is expected to conduct themselves in alignment with the “three R’s” of Mount View, READY, RESPONSIBLE, AND RESPECTFUL.
Homework Policies
1. Homework is assigned as bookwork, reading, worksheet, or mini investigations.
2. Homework will be assigned about 2 days a week with the exception of school recognized holidays and various days off throughout the year. Homework is never assigned on the day before a weekend or extended break.
3. Homework may be turned in all week but if it is turned in after Friday, it is considered late and will be marked half credit. Example: If there was a homework assignment assigned on Monday, and your child turns it in on Thursday, it will be marked as full credit. I do this because students may have very busy lives outside of class and some nights they might not have a chance to do their homework, this way they have all week.
4. Assignment are now available online under mvmoodle.com/student
4. Missed assignments (classwork or homework) due to absences illness or
other excused absences will follow the school handbook policy.
