Spelling Lists

The 5th grade team is focusing on both spelling and vocabulary throughout the school year. The students will need to be able to spell the weekly words and understand the meanings of the words.

We will have two types of spelling lists this year.

(1) The lists associated with the spelling lessons will have 15 words. The list the students receive will be determined by a pre-test that the students will take the first day of the week, and they will be assigned List B, List A, or Book list.

(2) There will also be lists that use vocabulary words that tie in with some of our reading assignments. These lists will have between 6-10 words and everyone will receive the same list.
