THE GRAPEVINE
The big event this week was, of course, the vaccination of 849 students at CHS. The process required the whole day but generally went smoothly. The success of the inoculations at CHS could not be done without the flexibility and patience of teachers in the English and Physical Education Departments. We thank the English department for sacrificing instructional time and the Physical Education department for giving up valuable instructional time and teaching space.
Kudos to David Evans for his efforts to start a chapter of Howard County’s Alpha Achievers Program. This program brings together male students in fellowship and is based upon high academic achievement. You will hear more about this in the weeks to come.
Recently, the Chuck Sands Memorial Committee was formed for the purpose of establishing an appropriate, living remembrance of our friend. If you are interested in providing input on ideas for the committee, please contact Linda Norris. The first meeting took place this week and a number of great ideas emerged.
THANK YOU-
To our paraprofessionals for all they do for students each day.
Don’t forget to sign up now for your complimentary chair massage and stress test. If interested please sign up in Flo’s office. Spaces are limited!
We’ve reached Friday! Have a great weekend!
PEDAGOGY CORNER
Quote of the Week-
“The measure of success is not whether
you have a tough problem to deal with,
but whether it’s the same problem you had last year.”
