THE GRAPEVINE
Here we are, in between snowstorms!  As long as we get those late opening schedules, we’re good!  Perhaps we will finish the school year before the July heat.

Monday’s professional development sessions moved us all closer to accomplishing many of our individual objectives with technology.  I’d like to thank all of our presenters for their preparation and efforts.  We hope to continue seeing evidence of growth in this area throughout our work with students.

Recently, the Model UN Club of CHS visited the University of Pennsylvania and had the opportunity to compete against students from all over the globe.  Under the direction of Susan Dodd, students Drew Spires, Shreya Khadke, Nihal Singh, and Sara Calvert received high honors.  Congratulations to Susan and the club members.

It’s Academic!  Once again, our students competed successfully on TV Hill in Baltimore this week.  Our stalwart “quiz kids” have launched another tremendous season.  Stan Eisenstein will motivate them, once again, toward regional supremacy!

PEDAGOGY CORNER
More thoughts on teaching-
  • When schools are closed, the whole community feels empty.
  • Good teachers love a day off.  That’s when they catch up on their work.
  • A good teacher can make an entire lesson out of a snowflake.  There will be a lot of snowflakes to work with this weekend!
Have a great weekend!!
