Welcome to Ms. Fales' Class
Elkridge Elementary 2008-2009
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Professional Background:
I started teaching in Prince Georges County in 1969. I taught there until1983.
I took family leave for 5 years to stay at home with my daughter.
I have been teaching in Howard County since 1988. I started as an
Instructional assistant and then as a Chapter 1 assistant. In 1990 I began
teaching first grade here at Elkridge. The one thing that impressed me so
about Elkridge was the strong sense of community, the warmth and
friendliness and the kindness and caring from all who live in our
community and work in our school. I felt it from the first day I walked in
to have an interview.
Personal Background:
I live in Columbia , MD. I have one lovely daughter, who graduated from
Towson University in May '04. She got engaged this summer and
will have a late Spring wedding.
I love to travel to warm sunny beaches where
palm trees sway and cool breezes prevail. I am searching for my perfect
city to retire to. In the summer you will find me at the neighborhood pool
or on a beach somewhere reading mysteries.
