I am so glad that you have decided to take Spanish this year.  You will have the
opportunity to learn the culture and the language of the Spanish-speaking world
through various in-class and out-of-class activities.  Please take advantage of this

el 21 de septiembre:  Write five questions for our guest tomorrow.  Make sure that two of your questions use "vas" in some way:  ¿Adónde vas. . .?, ¿Cuándo vas. . .?, ¿Vas . . .?, ¿Para qué vas. . .?  The other three questions may be questions about what she does in her free time, what she likes to do, her favorites (food, drink, class, sport, etc.).  Use your resources!

el 15 de septiembre: Create a mini-poster about where you go, when you go, and for what purpose.  Have a picture of the place on your poster.  It can be clip art, drawn, from a magazine, or from your own photos.  Example sentence (do not copy!): Voy a las montañas en el invierno para esquiar.

el 14 de septiembre: Option1 (score of 1-7 on vocabulary worksheet): Flashcards for new vocabulary (Spanish word on one side, English word on the other or Spanish word on one side and picture on the other.  Option 2: (score of 8-11 on vocabulary worksheet) Complete the calendar using the link that follows.  For each day of the week, draw a symbol to represent a place that you go.  Use a different place for each day of the week, even if you may not actually go to that place in real life or on that day.  You may use the new vocab. we learned today as well.  Calendar4A.doc
