                -grades 9-11
                -senior year classes

->      Extra-curricular activities (9-12)

->      Cost/Financial Aid/Scholarships

->      Distance to/from home

->      Size of student body

Application Procedure

As you begin the application process, questions are sure to arise covering a wide range of areas.  SEE YOUR COUNSELOR or have a parent contact the Guidance Office before sending out an application that may be incorrect.  What  may be an honest mistake on an application may make the difference between acceptance and denial.

APPLICATION PROCESS

        In order to better help you process your applictions,we are asking that you adhere to the following procedure:

A)      YOU, the student, will complete all portions of the application that pertain to you.

B)      Place the application (if not done online), application fee, teacher recommendations and/or resume in a stamped (at least 2 stamps - 39 cents) envelope with your return address.  Include $4.00 for the transcript fee (per application).

C)      HAND DELIVER THE  ENTIRE PACKAGE TO YOUR COUNSELOR.  Do not leave it on our messae clip, office chair or give it to Mrs. Flanagan.  We will in turn go through each application and check for  errors.  We will  also complete  the counselor section if that is applicable.

        IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE MATERIALS READY - DO NOT TURN IT IN!!!

D)      We will then give it to Mrs. King, the registrar, and she will make thhe transcript  and mail the entire application.  Remember - NO SAT Scores will be sent from Howard H.S.  They will have to be sent directly from the Collegeboard.

        There are over 300 students in the senior class.  Be mindful of our caseload and provide the counselors and Mrs. King at least 2 weeks to complete your appliction.
