My name is Karen Harman and I am very happy to be one of the teachers in your child's Math class this year. I will work closely with the Math teachers to plan lessons and provide instructional support appropriate to the needs of all the students.
All students have been given an agenda book, and it is important for you to check it often, as it serves as communication between the class and home. All homework assignments will be recorded in the agenda book, and any questions you have can be noted in it as well. It is important for it to come to school daily, as it is your child's hall pass to come and go in the classroom. Also, check teacher websites for additional information pertaining to classes and links to informative sites.

A little bit of information about myself: I am married and a mother to four children: Daniel is a teacher at Mt. Hebron High School, Joseph is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, Emily is a Junior at McDaniel College, and finally, Jeremy is a 10th grader in high school. We have a very busy household, and we try to remain involved in all our children's lives as we attend football, soccer and lacrosse games, host parties and go on family vacations to the beach.
