Homework assignments
WEEKLY:
Reading: Each child reads 20 min/night (Mon.-Thurs.), and parents must sign child's reading
calendar. I will collect the reading calendars the last day of the month. If there is no school on Friday, the calendar will be due Thursday.
Spelling: Spelling lessons take place Monday during language arts. The spelling homework calendar is in your child's spelling journal that comes home each night.
Mon-ABC order, 10 definitions, or 10 guide words.
Tues-10 sentences, a story w/ 10 words, or a poem using 10 words.
Wed-Pick one from the teacher's choice list. (Glued in your child's journal.)
Thurs-Signed pre-test
Fri-no HW, test day
Tests: Your child will have upcoming tests or quizzes listed in their agenda books approx. a week prior to the assessment.
Grammar: Grammar lessons will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will often be homework assigned both nights.
