RHS Media Center News
Please do not bring food or drinks into the media center.  
You will be asked to throw them away.  
Water is acceptable, but not near computers.

Did you know?  The Media Center closes before the end of school.  The last day will be May 30th, 2008.  Students and classes will not have access to the Media Center in June.  
Please plan accordingly.

Services
*Access to books, videos, magazines, & online databases
*Computers for school work & printing (5 pages per visit)
*Copies (10 cents a page)
*Quiet space to complete work, read, or relax
*Help with research or other homework questions

Collection
The Media Center collection includes over 18,000 books, 2,700 videotapes & DVDs, 12 periodicals, 9 databases  & various computer programs.  Our online catalog & online databases can be accessed in school or at home.

Circulation Policy
*Books & other instructional materials  = 3 weeks
(renewed for two weeks at a time)

*Reference books & videos = overnight
(from after school to before school the next day)

*Students may check out items during class visits or visits on their own before school, during lunch, or after school.
 
*10 items may be checked out a time.

Computer Use Policy
Students may use computers for school work in accordance with the HCPSS Computer Code of Ethics and Internet Use Permission forms and policies only.  

This means students may use computers for school work only and may use email only with explicit permission of school staff at the time of use.
