I am very excited to start the school year with all of you. Mrs. Shields will be returning the middle of October.
Grading Policies
All assignments contribute to a student grade that measures performance. Homework
(10%) will be graded for both completion and accuracy; Classwork: quizzes, group
activities, rough drafts, etc. (40%), Writings/Projects: Brief responses like
summaries and literary analysis, as well as
multi-paragraph essays (40%) , participation (5%), and the Howard County Assessments (5%). All
work is weighted based on points and percentages.
Student progress and grades are updated online.
