GRADING POLICY - Grades will be posted ONLINE.

Student grades are based on a weighted grading system:
Homework = 10% of final grade
Class work, Labs, and Participation= 40% of final grade
Tests and Quizzes = 50% of final grade

SCIENCE MATERIALS
Science Textbook
Every student will be assigned a Life Science textbook at the beginning of the school year.  The science textbook book should be kept at home; it is essential for homework completion and test and quiz preparation.

LAB SAFETY - Safety First!
The most important rule in science class is that all students follow laboratory safety procedures!
A signed Howard County Public School System Safety Contract will be needed to participate in the Life Science lab program.  It is imperative that each student strictly adheres to the rules established.  If the rules are not followed, students will be removed from the laboratory and given an alternative assignment.
