Hello Mount View 6th Graders,
What a great start! We have mastered lockers, nine class changes, classes all over the building, a fire drill and finally, real class work and homework! Congratulations! We have about 35 more weeks of school or 177 days!
Be sure you bring your Sourcebook (composition book) to English class each day, as well as your binder with the agenda, pencils and paper in it. A box of tissues would be greatly appreciated for the weather-change coughs and colds expected in the months ahead.
In the next week, we will be introducing ourselves by creating a Biopoem, and then taking a practice county-like assessment. This will give us a snapshot of what we need to develop in your reading and writing skills.
Again, thank you for a terrific opening to school year '10-'11. I look forward to easy contact when we are all registered for Teacherease. Stay sharp.
